Headbands are my go to for hair bling. Join me and make the crochet keyhole headband. Pretty, functional and perfect for summer.

Inspiration
They say; Necessity is the mother of invention. I cannot refute this statement because necessity was behind this pattern.
Namely, the necessity of preparing a quick welcome to my house gift for my sister. Why quick? Because, I left it for the last minute, as you do. Side note: do you do this? Prepare some trinket for visiting friends and relatives?
Yarn
Although I have a collection of cotton yarn in my stash I don’t have grey. At least none that I could find and any excuse to explore new yarns is viable. Right? Since I was already at Walmart, I picked up their worsted weight cotton yarn.
The yarn is soft enough to wear but also sturdy enough for house decor/cleaning. It’s a multipurpose yarn perfect for a crochet keyhole headband. Even though I used Mainstays 100% cotton yarn any worsted weight cotton yarn with a 180yds in 100g will work just fine.
Of course, you don’t have to limit yourself to cotton. The gold version of the crochet keyhole headband is made with fingering weight silk and a 2.5mm hook. However, I would strongly suggest a yarn that does not have a lot of stretch.

Can I make the crochet keyhole headband?
It’s the perfect project to learn a new stitch. The crochet keyhole headband takes no time to whip up which makes it perfect for a last minute gift or outfit detail. Moreover, it’s a great way to show off your crochet and use scraps!
