Learn how to crochet the linked double crochet stitch.

STITCH DETAILS:
Linked stitches are connected to one another through the posts and form a textured fabric with minimal holes. This stitch is perfect for garments, socks, cushions, and many more projects. To make a linked stitch you will insert your hook from top to bottom into the horizontal bar of the stitch that you made. There are three variations of linked stitches.
- hdc
- dc
- treble
NOTE: When you crochet the linked stitch you will always have to join, this stitch does not work up well in a spiral.
MATERIALS:
Yarn – Bernat Softee Chunky
Hook – Clover Amour 10mm
STITCHES:
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
Linked Double Crochet Stitch Tutorial:
Ch,13. In the first chain from the hook, work a dc.
Working into the horizontal bar of the dc, insert your hook from top to bottom. yarn over and pull up a loop. Insert your hook into the next stitch, and yarn over pull up a loop, yarn over pull through two, yarn over pull through two. Complete this for every stitch.
To start the next row, ch 1, turn. Make a dc in the first stitch and repeat the above instructions.
If you are working this stitch in the round, you will have to use a slip stitch to join to the first stitch.
Need an idea for this stitch, I have written up a socks pattern that uses it.
Let me know what you would use this stitch for.
