Last year I designed Las Nubes, a crochet fingering weight top. Light as a feather and oh so elegant. The top features a pineapple stitch border and a bottom up construction.

The Design:
Las Nubes was the first pattern I designed with the intention of selling it. Of course, hindsight is 20/20, naive little me did not realize how much math was involved to get a garment to fit different bodies. A lot, A lot of math is involved. Anyway, the pattern has been sold on ravelry and etsy for a year and part 1 has been available on the blog for just as long. This year to mark National Crochet In public Day and my 4th year podcasting, I decided to publish the second part of this crochet fingering weight top for free! I’m excited to make this pattern readily accessible to everyone!
The Yarn:
The yarn was actually responsible for giving the crochet fingering top it’s name, Las Nubes. I designed this top using Shalimar Yarns Aerie a blend of Merino, Kid Mohair and Silk all blended together in a single strand of luxury. The silk gives the yarn incredible shine, the merino provides memory and bounce and the kid mohair makes this the softest yarn to work with! Other than having a scrumptious blend, this yarn also produces gorgeous stitch definition. I highly encourage you to get your hands on some of this scrumptious yarn!
If , by any change, kid mohair isn’t to your liking you can of course make this crochet fingering weight top with 75/25 merino nylon blend. I would encourage you to use a fingering weight wool blend so that your crochet top blocks nicely.
