The oddments cardi cal is an invitation to use up your yarn leftovers and bring color into your world.

What is it?
The Oddments Cardi Cal is the brain-child of @mindandmusecraft. When she saw @zeensandrogers interpretation of the JW Anderson Cardigan inspiration struck to host a CAL for it. It really is the perfect project to brighten up our 2020. //
La idea de organizar un tejer juntos para este proyecto fue de mindandmusecrafts. Cuando ella se topo con la interpretación del Cardigan Harry Styles que @zeensandroger tejió, rápidito me contactó para ver que me parecía la idea.

In this Oddments Cardi Cal we will be using Rosina’s recipe to make our own version of this Cardigan. I say recipe because even though she has provided written and video details for how she made it, there are no row by row instructions. However if you have crochet experience, you will do just fine.

En este tejer juntos no estaremos utilizando un patrón per se. Más bien estaremos utilizando la receta de Rosina como una guía para las dimensiones, cuadrados, y el cuello.
The Design
The design itself is pretty straight forward. Squares that are joined to create a a boxy cardigan and then a button band is added. But there are different ways to go about it’s construction. For example:
- intarsia squares – working all the 9 squares in row form. and then splitting for the sleeves to create 2 front panels and 1 back panel.
- back and front panels separate – using the intarsia technique mentioned above but making your back and front separate from the very beginning.
- individual squares – as the name suggests, crochet individual squares and then join them to create the body.
- join as you go
As I am driven mad by the mere thought of weaving in all the ends, I chose the intarsia method for both the body and the sleeves.

El diseño de este Cardigan inspirado por el de JW Anderson es bastante sencillo. En su forma más simple el Cardigan son cuadrados unidos para formar el cuerpo y las mangas al cual luego se le añade las partes elásticas de las mangas y el cuerpo.
Claro está que hay muchas formas de construir el Cardigan. Por ejemplo:
- Tejer instarsia,
- tejer los paneles de la parte posterior y el frente separados.
- Se puede utilizar el join as you go method, o unirlos todos con una puntada decorativa. Mucahs Opciones!
